Help The Homeless

~We have a family friend who helps feed the homeless, there is a great need for coats, blankets,socks, beanies, scarfs,mittens anything to help keep them warm. They do not need to be new, but in good condition. If you would like to donate I am taking all the things I can gather to our friend to hand out New Years Day. Please bring whatever you can donate to my house by Wednesday Dec. 31st before noon.~

~~~We had a great turn out for the 4th annual cookie exchange. We had 28 ladies, my friend Rebecca taught us how to make english toffee. We had so much fun visiting, eating and exchanging recipes.~~~






Grace's Dance Recital












Grace had a little dance recital with Teresa Moody her dance teacher. The class is for children 2 and 3 yrs. old. They are learning very basic skills. Grace loves it!!! There was a special dance with her dad.

4th Annual Cookie Exchange


I am having my 4th annual cookie exchange Wednesday December 10th 7:00 at my house.

Anyone is welcome to come. The way it works each person brings 7 dozen of their favorite cookie or holiday treat. You will put them on individual plates, bags or containers. You will go home with 6 dozen different kinds of cookies to make cookie platters. We will share with everyone at the party the last dozen. My friend Rebecca will be coming and show us how to make English Toffee. I hope to see you at the party.

We had 50 people for dinner in the Beaver Dams, we used the church because of the rain. The first picture is the 3 gallons of Turkey gravy my mom made!! We had almost all of our family there. Lisa and Lily were home sick and Tami and Jason were home because Tami has been put on bed rest!! We missed you!

The top picture is of my Aunt Mabel and her daughters, Jill, Judy, Michelle, Toni and grand daughter Kristen. Aunt Mabel just turned 92!! She looks great!! Growing up I loved to visit my cousins in Boulder City. It was great to see them all again. Jodi was coloring with the babies, Cassidy and Marissa just having fun. When The Family Gets Together

Men Frying The Turkey





Our family was in charge of frying the turkey, all the boys helped. We had roasted turkey, fried turkey, spiral cut ham, and a prime rib!! We had a great feast, and of course the fried turkey was fabulous! The men frying the turkey are Bob and Josh, my dad F.D. and my brother David and Jesse came for support.

Thanksgiving At Grandma & Grandpa Houston

We missed having Lisa and Lily here for all the fun and food. Then we have Nicole and Grace Nicole's boy friend Tommy couldn't come this year we missed having him. The last picture is of my mom and me in our new Melanie Aprons.We love them! My mom tried mine on and loved it, so Melanie was kind enough to make mom one and they match! ( same flowers). Thanks Melanie!! Two Cooking Chicks!!! I learned from the best!!!
