Our Wild Mothers Day Weekend!!!

It started Friday night and we drove to Beaver Dam AZ where my mom and dad live and we brought my mom dinner from our favorite Italian restaurant. She loves their garlic spaghetti. Of course when we got there my mom was doing her favorite hobby, QUILTING, she is amazing!! We had a great evening talking and eating we came home late because Bob had a gun class all day Saturday! I went shopping with the girls while Bob was teaching. We had a great time, Corbin was not feeling well so we left. The kids came over and we barbecued steaks and watched a movie( Josh Lisa & the girls we missed they were in San Diego at the Zoo). Corbin started running a fever again ( He had an ear infection and was on an antibiotic since Tuesday)We gave him more Tylenol and he seemed fine.Until I got a phone call at 2:30 in the morning, It was Lindsey crying, "Mom Corbin just had a seizure he went stiff,his eyes rolled back in his head and he quit breathing. Jesse gave him mouth to mouth he is breathing now and the paramedics just got here and we are on our way to Summerlin hospital!!!!! I need my insurance cards". ( I had them because they were on a cruise last week and I had Corbin).It took me 3 times to read those stupid numbers on the card!!! It is amazing that you can't think or read at 2:30 a.m. Needless to say we were up until 6:00 a.m. when they finally released him!!! I called my brother Darrin he is an ER doctor with the Summerlin group, to see if he was working, Of course he wasn't but called the doctor on to let him know Corbin was on his way. Darrin told me he thought Corbin was having a FEBRILE SEIZURE he told me they were very common. I have raised four children and never heard of this. Children get them from fevers!!! The good news is he is o.k. they changed his medicine and he must stay on Tylenol every three hours to keep his fever away! then today he went to see his regular doctor. Life is so precious and things can change in a second!!! It sure made me appreciate all the Lord has blessed me with!!! I had a great breakfast with Lauren and Jason, Jason made me his special strawberry crepes with a sauce he created. They were define!! he also made folded cheese eggs. Bob bought me flowers, Josh cleaned out my fridge and Jesse wrote me a beautiful card. I have great men in my life!!! The girls gave me more night shirts and made me rice pudding!! I am spoiled! Needless to say I slept in Monday!!! I love being a Mom, Wife and Grandma!!

Joshua is having a birthday!!!

Joshua was a beautiful baby!! and a joy to have as our first child!! He always adds fun and adventure in our lives!! I love the one of him with his tongue out on the merry go round at Peter Piper Pizza!! He has always been a good kid and he is now a great adult, husband,father and son!!! We love you Josh have a great birthday!! Love Mom & Dad!!

My Parents 60th Wedding Anniversary

My parents had their 6oth wedding anniversary on April 30th! What a great example they have set for our family of a wonderful marriage. Life has not always been easy for them, but they showed us how to work through the tough times together, and enjoy the good times. This picture was taken on their 50th wedding anniversary in Hawaii.
All my siblings and spouses went to Hawaii for a week to celebrate. This anniversary everyones lifes have been crazy so we will plan something later. We can not let these special occasions go by with out a Hurrah!!

Emily's visiting teachers gave her a great farewell party at the Spencers home!!! Thanks for all who were able to attend, we enjoyed seeing family and friends!
I guess we are going to be empty nesters!!! I am sure I will find things to do!

I LOVE SPRING

There is something about lilacs that make me stop and pause! They remind me of when I delivered Joshua in the hospital in Cedar City. I had a room that I shared with 6 other women, we were all college students and had no money. The lilacs were in full bloom in Cedar all the new dads picked lilacs for their wives!!! Our room smelled so great! I remember when I was a little girl we had a big lilac bush in our back yard that we played hide and seek in it. I found these at Costco and just had to have a bunch. I love lilac! I really need to plant a bush!

Baby Madison's Nursery Material

Lauren found this really cute fabric to make Madison's bumper pads and quilt. Lauren is lucky she has a great mother- in -law who is a great seamstress. They are going to do a patchwork quilt with minky cloth also. I hope that right!!! I think the fabric is cute! I Love Paisley!

TRIBUTE TO T.C.

Today I went to a funeral of a young man I have known since he was 4 years old. I taught T.C. preschool and two of his other siblings. What a great family Cliff and Becky have!!! T.C. has always been a happy, fun & kind kid!!! I am blessed that I have had the opportunity to see a lot of my preschoolers grow up. T.C. moved into my ward 4 years ago. He greeted me the first Sunday with a big hug and smile,just like he had done so many years ago in preschool. I had talked with him sometime before this when he set me up a day at the Marriott spa (where he was asst. manager). He said to me you take care of children all the time you need a special day let me set it up for you!!!(my preschoolers had given me a gift card that really helped) I went in and first had a treatment called LOST IN PARADISE and it is the most wonderful treatment there, then I went for an hour facial!!! It was the best day!
T.C.'s dad Cliff gave us an assignment from T.C. Live the commandments, and be a little kinder to our fellowman. T.C. gave of himself all the time! It was apparent by the church overflowing with people. I appreciate all he gave to us and he will be missed by our family! T.C. is serving a new mission in Heaven,and we will continue the good work you were doing on this earth by showing more Charity.

We had a great weekend with Rosemary & Bruce. Rosemary brother David and his wife Kay came from California to visit. Sunday we had a nice dinner and caught up with the happenings with everyones lives.

It's a Girl!!!!

Lauren went to get an ultrasound today and she is having a girl!!! They have decided to name her MADISON TATE she weighs about 10oz now and is due to come September 1st.
We are so excited to have a new baby. The doctor said everything is fine all 10 finger and toes no problems, and she is a chunky baby!!!
